Virtual V-Day 2021: G-Spot and P-Spot Toys
G-Spot & P-Spot Play: A Brief Intro
So maybe you’re wondering why we’ve grouped G-Spot and prostate (P-Spot) toys together in a single Virtual V-Day event and blog post. After all, aren’t these special spots found on humans who were born with different factory-installed genital setups? (The G-Spot is typically found on folks who are born with a vulva, and the prostate is typically found on folks born with a penis.)
While that may be true, the P-Spot and the G-Spot actually have a lot in common, and as a result the toys and techniques we can use to stimulate both spots have some similarities. Therefore, it can be worthwhile to talk about these toys through the lens of those similarities. That said, we definitely won’t forget about the unique design features that make certain toys better suited for either area of the body— and we’ll note that below in our toy descriptions.
It is interesting to point out that there is ample evidence to indicate that the prostate and what we have come to call “the G-Spot” are homologous— that is, they develop in humans from the same embryonic tissue in the reproductive system. The G-Spot is perhaps not perfectly named— it isn’t a discrete “spot” so much as a zone or an area, a mass of spongy tissue that surrounds the urethra in people born with a vulva. In that spongy tissue you’ll find Skene’s glands, which many believe is a source of fluid produced during what is often called “female ejaculation” or "squirting." The prostate is also a gland that surrounds the urethra in folks born with a penis, and it produces fluid that is part of semen/ejaculate.
Okay, so how do I find these spots?
The G-Spot is typically stimulated from inside the vagina— folks can use fingers, a toy, or a penis to reach the G-Spot. The angle of the fingers/toy/penis, once inserted, should be directed toward the front wall of the vagina (toward the belly side of the body, not the butt side). Your goal is to stimulate the urethral sponge (located about an inch or so inside the vaginal opening along the upper vaginal wall). This area will sometimes feel a little bit rough, or slightly raised.
Prostate stimulation is similar, except that to reach it you insert fingers, toys, or a penis into the anus. Similar to G-spot stimulation, the angle of your efforts should be directed toward the front of the body (belly side, not butt side). You can usually feel the prostate about 1-2 inches inside, along the front wall of the rectum. You’ll be feeling the prostate through the rectal wall (it's not inside the rectum itself, but right next door), and it will sort of feel like a bump or a rough spot.
You can also stimulate the prostate indirectly from outside the body, via the perineum (the area between the balls and the anus). Some people find pressure or vibration on the perineum to be very pleasurable, and a number of prostate toys combine both internal prostate stimulation with this type of indirect, external stimulation as well.
When you're aroused, the prostate and the G-Spot both tend to be more swelled and prominent, so if you’re having trouble locating them, it can help to get turned on first via other activities that normally get your motor going. A good rule of thumb about stimulating these spots once you find them: it is often better to use gentle stroking or rocking motions to begin with, and then increase intensity and pressure if so desired.
For some, G-Spot and P-Spot play can create earth-shattering, truly unique orgasms. For others, stimulating these spots feels good and is a fun part of sex, but it might not be the thing that puts them over their orgasmic moon. And then there are folks who simply don’t care to have these parts stimulated. G-Spot and P-Spot play is just like anything else about sexual activity— some people like certain kinds of stimulation, and some don’t. The key is to find what is best for you, and to think about sexual pleasure as a journey, rather than a predetermined, rigidly-defined destination.
And now, without further ado, let’s check out some of our favorite G-Spot and P-Spot toys!
Non-Vibrating Wands
Njoy Pure Wand, Le Wand Arch, and Le Wand Bow
For both G-Spot and prostate (P-Spot) stimulation, it is often gentle, rhythmic pressure on those areas that feels wonderful. You can use your fingers to press and explore either spot, but sometimes it can be hard to reach using just fingers, or your hands will be at an awkward angle and play will become tiring. This is where wands like the njoy Pure Wand, the Le Wand Arch, and the Le Wand Bow excel—they help you reach your magic spots, and the firmness of the stainless steel material means you only need to gently rock them in order to provide optimal pressure. In other words, minimal exertion for maximum returns! Stainless steel toys like these are incredibly smooth, easy to clean, and you can use them with any type of lubricant. All three of these toys have different-sized ends on either side of the toy, meaning you’ve got a choice of two possible sensations from the same toy.
A note about prostate play using these wands: With toys that are inserted anally, we usually recommend only using items that have a flared base, so that the toy isn’t accidentally drawn all the way into the rectum during play. While these stainless steel wands do not have a flared base on either end, we still consider them generally safe for anal use, as long as at least half of the toy remains outside the body during play. For most people, this allows them to easily reach the prostate and be able to hold and rock the toy with their hand. Because these wands are quite heavy, it is incredibly unlikely for them to be accidentally drawn all the way into the rectum during this type of use, as long as you follow those guidelines.
Similar to the stainless steel wands listed above, glass toys also offer an incredibly smooth, easy-to-clean tool option. As a firm material, glass transmits pressure with minimal effort, and the curve and length of the Glas 22 makes it a great shape to comfortably reach your P-spot or G-spot. Glass toys are quite sturdy and safe under normal play conditions, but you should always be careful not to drop these toys onto any hard surface to avoid potential chipping or breaking.
As with the stainless steel wands above, we consider this wand to be generally safe for prostate stimulation, as long as at least half of the toy remains outside the body during play. For most people, this allows them to easily reach the prostate and be able to hold on to and rock the toy with their hand. Given it's length, it is unlikely for this toy to be accidentally drawn all the way into the rectum if this guideline is followed.
This is a great G-Spot or P-Spot addition if you happen to have a Magic Wand Plus, Magic Wand Rechargeable, or similar wand-style vibe at home already. As folks who own a Magic Wand already know, they are powerful vibrators, and the addition of a silicone cap like this essentially creates a very powerful vibrating dildo! These caps are safe for use either vaginally or anally. For people who enjoy strong vibration on their spot, the Gee Whizzard is angled nicely for the purpose. 100% silicone.
G-spot Specific Toys
This inexpensive firm plastic vibrator is a great starter toy for exploring the G-Spot. Its wide, rounded head offers a firm, smooth surface that can be rocked against the G-spot, and its long narrow handle makes this tool easy to maneuver. You can add a range of vibration intensity by turning the dial at the base of the handle. And if you decide vibration is not your thing, you can just use the item as a simple wand. Plus, it makes a fine external vibrator as well. Takes 2 AA batteries. Available in black, teal, or purple.
This item is not recommended for prostate play due to its lack of flared base, narrow neck, and light weight. See listings for prostate-specific vibes further down in this post!
The Noje V1 offers the firmness of the other toys we’ve featured so far (making it a great lever for pressing/rocking on the G-spot), but it also is coated in a thin layer of silky-touch silicone, resulting in a less slick-feeling surface. Noje’s head is bulbous, and the neck ranges from about 1 inch to 1.25 inches in diameter— not too big, but also not as narrow as the neck of the Cloud 9 G. It has 5 speeds and 5 pulse patterns and is rechargeable.
This item is not recommended for prostate play due to its lack of flared base and relatively short length. See listings for prostate specific vibes further down in this post!
Unlike the items featured above, the Pillow Talk Sassy G has some flex to it, so it will bend a bit while you aim it toward the G Spot. For folks who like a little more “movement” in their toys, or who like to play more vigorously, the Sassy G will be a bit more forgiving than an inflexible hard wand. The vibes on Sassy G feel nice and rumbly, and the intensity is variable. This toy is coated in 100% silicone and is rechargeable. Available in pink or teal.

Do you like the feeling of thrusting against your G-Spot, and wish you had a toy to do that work for you? Meet the Fun Factory Stronic series! Instead of vibrating, this toy thrusts, using an innovative motor technology in which solid metal moves in a hollow body, producing a pulsating, deep rhythm. The Stronic G is a slimmer offering than previous toys in the Stronic line, with a pronounced head for G-Spot stimulation. You can select from 7 speeds and 3 rhythm patterns on easy-to-push buttons.
This item is not recommended for prostate play due to its lack of flared base, self-thrusting nature, and relatively short length. See listings for prostate specific vibes further down in this post!
Dual stimulation toys like this one are often referred to as "rabbits" or rabbit-style toys, because the original concept of this toy featured a cute-looking bunny design with wiggling, vibrating ears. Rabbit style toys were a big innovation at that time, because they were designed to stimulate the clitoris externally with vibration while simultaneously penetrating the vagina. This particular toy features a cute bunny vibe for the clitoris, and a rotating insertable shaft that angles toward the G-Spot during rotation. The shaft also features a series of beads that stimulate the first inch or so of the vaginal opening. Battery operated, available in pink or purple.
Due to the external vibe on this toy, it is technically anal safe, but there are better designs specifically for prostate stimulation.
Prostate-Specific Toys
Almost two decades ago, Aneros emerged as the leader in prostate stimulators, developing a line of products that were medically researched and designed with a focus on function. The Aneros Helix is one of their most popular items, enjoyed by beginners and aficionados alike. The Helix is designed to be inserted anally and then rocked gently against the prostate, using the contractions of your own muscles. It is a solid piece, with no vibration or other electronic components. The two little rounded ends on the flared base are made for external stimulation, or they can also used to manually rock the toy. The Helix Syn is coated in a layer of silky-touch silicone; if you prefer a slicker feel, consider the Aneros Helix Trident instead.
This item is a prostate-specific design— while you could technically use it vaginally, there are other items that are better suited for G-spot stimulation.
If you’d like a prostate toy that stimulates in more than one way, the Maverick offers two points of vibration and adds rotation to the mix. The head of the Maverick rotates, providing a massage against the prostate when inserted. There is also a vibrating motor located in the head, plus another vibe in the base that sits against the perineum, so you can enjoy vibration both internally and externally. You can also opt to leave the rotation feature off and simply rock the Maverick back and forth using your hand on the base. Maverick is coated in a layer of silicone and is rechargeable.

Another fun vibrating prostate toy option is the Bad Boy Intense, which features a removable bullet vibe in the base of the toy. The Bad Boy’s unique specialty is that it's design allows you to insert the toy anally and then sit on it and rock, which moves the toy against the prostate. Many prostate stimulators are made of firm plastic, or have other design features on their base that make them difficult to sit on— but with Bad Boy you can enjoy targeted prostate stimulation while sitting, which makes it a nice option for those who like to watch porn and do other fun stuff while seated. The vibrating base sits against the perineum, adding external stimulation as well. The removable vibe has 10 settings and is rechargeable.
