TOOL SHED TEAM REVIEW
This game focuses on communication and is designed for group gatherings/parties with friends.
The 50 prompt sticks in this game are double-sided, with Truth on one side, Dare on the other, giving 100 total possibilities. As with most truth or dare games of this type, the truth questions are meant for players to get to know more about each other. Sample Truth questions in this set include, "What's the worst lie you've ever been caught telling?" and "What's your go-to sex song?"
The Dare prompts are instructions toward specific activities, such as "Perform a show tune at your table," or "Strike up a conversation with a stranger where you speak only in questions."Â There are several Dare prompts that assume you are in a public setting like a bar, and a number involve drinking or ordering drinks (example: drinking a body shot off of someone at the bar). Because a public setting is assumed, there are a number of Dares that require conversing or otherwise interacting with strangers. Most Dares involving strangers are relatively tame and non-sexual, though some involve flirting or getting a phone number.
Most of questions and prompts are free of gender references, though a few do assume you are with an all or mostly female-identified group of friends. For example, one Truth prompt asks "What did you want to be when you were a little girl?" and another references giving out tampons to all the "ladies." But the vast majority of the prompts and questions are free of gender references, and don't assume the gender(s) of partners.
The prompt sticks themselves are sturdy, and the carrying case is attractive.
Accessibility note: Several of the Dare activities in this game require physical mobility.
